Gerth & Baskett sells sofas, sleeper sofas, love seats and end recliners as well as recliners from some of the top names in America -- La Z Boy, Benchcraft, and Berkline.  We also are the only dealer in Northeast Missouri of Serta - the world's best selling mattress - over 75 rolls of carpet and linoleum in stock from major manufacturers like Mohawk, Coronet, Shaw, Southwind, Congoleum and Tarkett linoleum, Columbia Click and laminated flooring, a large gallery of lamps, contemporary artwork, desks, and living room furniture.  We feature Krivaja Beechbrook and a gallery of ChromCraft kitchen furniture.

The only furniture store in four counties in Northeast Missouri, there are four and five generations of families that have bought their furniture from Gerth & Baskett.  We started out selling furniture and pianos to the good people of Wyaconda in 1904, and quickly opened a store in Gorin in the 1910s.  The current location in Memphis opened in 1930.  The Gorin and Wyaconda furniture stores are no longer open, but we still serve these areas from the Memphis location.  (For those in the Gorin and Wyaconda area, click above for a special site just for you) So if you are out for a Saturday drive on Highway 136 or Route 15, stop by beautiful downtown Memphis and see what a difference our over 100 years of experience in home furnishings can make.
