Patricia Ann McRobert ,74, of
She was born the daughter of Michael Paul and Anna Maxine (Barker) Palmer on September 26th, 1933, in Keokuk
Patricia grew up in
Pat retired in 2003 from teaching in the Park Hill School District and she thoroughly enjoyed her part-time work at Hall’s Plaza
and Crown Center stores from 1978 - 2003. She was a member of Hillside Christian Church in the 1970’s, and she served in their choir for many years. She
was a founding regent of the Clay
County
chapter of the DAR, and she was active in the Parents Without Partners organization. She was a member of the Old Pike Country Club for many
years.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and community at Garden Village, an independent living facility in
Kansas City, who worked so hard toward allowing Pat to stay with them as long as possible as Alzheimer’s took its toll. Additionally, the family cannot say enough about the people from
Shirkey’s Nursing and Rehabilitation
Center
in Richmond,
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Maxine Palmer.
She is survived by her son, Michael Paul McRobert and his wife Anita of Kansas City, MO; daughter, Sally McRobert Wise and her
husband Tim of Leonardtown, MD; brother, Paul and wife Linda Palmer, of Kansas City; grandchildren, Jeffrey Michael McRobert, Anna Maxine McRobert and Jennifer Nicole McRobert of Kansas
City, Missouri, Patricia Adele Wise, Mary Helen Wise and Katie Wise of Leonardtown, Maryland; her nephew, Mark Palmer of Houston, Texas and her niece, Betsy Hrdlicka of West Des Moines,
Iowa.
Memorial services were held at 1 p.m., Friday, February 29th, at the Gerth Funeral Chapel in
Memphis with Larry Smith, pastor of the Downing Christian Church, officiating. Visitation was prior to the service, from noon
until 1 p.m. Inurnment will be in the
